AIA Architect Seminar
January 12, 2011

Frankentek hosts a full house of nearly 30 AIA accredited Architects from the greater Philadelphia area. Some of the course topics included "Proper Home Theater Design and Construction", "Hidden Home Technology", and "Control Systems for Building Green". Attendees received LU Credits (Learning Units) which are required by the AIA to maintain status. Staff ROI Instructor and General Manager, Scott Sprague points out that audio and video installations can be incorporated into any architecture in a tasteful and seamless way. Sprague goes on to say "Homeowners these days are in tune with the electronic age. Most are using smart-phone devices like the iPhone to control their homes, and expect this functionality to be incorporated into their home design. Private home theaters have become commonplace in most upscale floor plans. The best Architects out there are aware of these expectations from their Clients and embrace it through educational partnerships with specialists like Frankentek".

Frankenstar Energy Management System Launched
November 8, 2010

Frankentek releases its fully integrated design... the "Frankenstar" energy management system. Customized and expandable, this system is retrofit-able into existing commercial and residential properties. The system replaces existing, conventional, mechanical control devices (such as light switches and thermostats) with control-enabled devices. The Frankenstar proprietary control processor then takes over. Using devices like occupancy and light sensors, Frankenstar makes sure lights are off and the temperature is rolled back when the space is unoccupied. Remote temperature sensors eliminate tampering with HVAC settings by employees. Initial system installations at government test sites revealed immediate energy savings. Projections showed a fast ROI (Return on Investment) of the system, while reducing the facilities carbon footprint.

Steinway Concert featuring Vitalij Kuprij
September 19, 2010

Frankentek's Crescendo Experience Center hosts Vitalij Kuprij, to play to an intimate group of 80. Kuprij, a pianist and composer, has been the recipient of numerous awards and prizes. After extensive study in the Ukraine and Switzerland, in 1995 Mr Kuprij was recommended by Sir James Galway to continue his musical studies at the Curtis Institute of Music with Gary Graffman. Mr. Kuprij's recent solo Carnegie Hall debut was to a near capacity crowd and two encores were requested. From this event he was featured in a two page article in the New York Times. Since graduating from Curtis, he has been touring worldwide. There is another side to this multi-faceted young man. Unlike most classically trained musicians Vitalij's cross-over capability into the neo-classical world evidences him as a leading force in the alternative rock and musical exploration as we know it today. Mr Graffman says,"Vitalij is a powerful, elegant and communicative artist...an amazing musician." Vitalij is currently a pianist with the world famous Trans-Siberian Orchestra.
